1. Journal 
Look up Philip Zimbardo and find a quote of his. Write down the quote and what you think it means in your own words.

2. Survey the Text 

• We're going to use our survey skills to find out some information about our next text and the author who wrote it.
• We are paying special attention to TEXT FEATURES. Let's talk about what that means. 

3. TED Talk

• Before we read, we are going to watch Zimbardo tell us about the psychology of evil through his TED Talk given in 2008. 
• His talk gives us context. Pay attention to the TONE he uses while speaking.

4.  Read the Text 

• You have a copy of the text on paper. 
• We are going to start reading the text together using our cards. 
• We all have to stay vigilant and focused - this is a VERY informative text. 

5. Navigating the Waters 

• There are questions uploaded in Google Classroom called "Navigating the Waters: The Psychology of Evil" 
• We are going to answer these questions using the RACE format.
