While Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday was last Tuesday, January 15th, I won't get to see you at school today because we celebrate his birthday and honor his life today.
As you study for your finals and relax at home, I encourage you to check out these articles that provide different perspectives regarding Dr. King's life, legacy, and what politicians might think of him if he were alive today:
There is a parade taking place on Harbor Drive in Downtown San Diego from 2-5PM. The parade is organized by the Zeta Sigma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Fraternity, the oldest African American fraternity in America. Dr. King was a member of this organization.
Remember to reflect, relax, and read. We'll see you back at school tomorrow!
